How To Remove Virus With / Using CMD (Command Prompt) (Windows 7 8 10 11)

You can remove any virus from your desktop pc or laptop system and USB Drives manually (without the use of antivirus) by using Command Prompt / CMD in windows 7 8 10 11.

1. Open cmd (Compand Prompt) by typing cmd in run command (Press Windows key + R To Open Run Dialog Box)

2. Right click and click and “Run As Administrator”

3. Go to the infected drive. If you wamnt to c drive where windows is installed, then type “cd /” without inverted commas and hit enter. For other drives (such as Drive D, E, etc.) where active windows is not installed, type Drive_Letter: an hit enter For example, for drive D, type D: and press enter

4. Type here, dir D: attrib -s -h /s /d *.*” and hit enter (If you want to get the full output report of this command to a text (txt) file, then type dir C: attrib -s -h /s /d *.* > c:\type_name_here.txt and hit enter)

5. Check for “autorun.inf” virus. So, type attrib -h -r -s autorun.inf and press enter

6. If you find any autorun.inf virus file, then to delete it type delete autorun.inf

7. Similarly, if you find any virus file, then type delete filename.extension and press enter

8. Finally, type sfc /scannow and hit enter
